Traveler, Trey Anastasio’s forthcoming solo album, is now available for pre-order at his Official Store. Fans can pre-order the album in a CD or LP format – or as a bundle including both configurations. T-shirt bundles and a 7” of the lead single Scabbard are also available. Those who pre-order the new album in any format will receive a limited edition Traveler lithograph signed by Anastasio.
Anastasio co-produced the album with Peter Katis (The National, Interpol, Jónsi) last fall in Katis’ Tarquin Studios in Bridgeport, CT. Along with the Trey Anastasio Band, Katis invited several artists to guest on the recordings, including Mates of State’s Kori Gardner, The National’s Bryan Devendorf and Matt Berninger, Icelandic percussionist Samuli Kosminen, Rob Moose (Bon Iver, Antony and the Johnsons), Thomas Bartlett (Rufus Wainwright, David Byrne) and theremin virtuoso Rob Schwimmer.
To celebrate the album’s October 16th release via Rubber Jungle Records / ATO Records, Trey Anastasio Band will launch a fall tour at The Fillmore in Detroit, MI on Thursday, October 18th. Tickets are on sale now – see below for itinerary or visit trey.com for further details.

“What if we set out to make a record that people could pop on in their car on their way back from a concert or that they could throw on at 2 a.m., when they’re driving?” This was Trey Anastasio‘s co-producer (The National, Interpol, Jónsi) Peter Katis’ vision for Traveler, the Phish frontman’s trek into the world of indie rock, on which he toted along members of The National and Mates of State, as well as longtime collaborator Tom Marshall and members of the Trey Anastasio Band.
